Types Of Retainers
Clear Retainers
These retainers are nearly invisible and customized to your teeth. At first, you will wear them 18 to 24 hours a day. Eventually, you will only need to wear them at night to maintain your transformation.
Fixed Permanent Retainers
For those whose teeth are a bit more “stubborn,” sometimes it helps to have a retainer that isn’t removeable. We bond fixed or permanent retainers to the back of your teeth to prevent shifting. They stay in your mouth so you never have to worry about taking them in or out. The tradeoff is that a fixed retainer requires special cleaning, but it’s easy to learn — and we’ll walk you through it. Again, not everyone is a candidate for a permanent retainer, so we can help you decide if it’s the right option for you.
